What is popcorn?
What may sound like a “stupid question” actually provides an interesting answer.
Popcorn is, of course, a whole grain maize grown primarily in the Midwestern United States. This is where the majority of popcorn is grown for consumption all around the world.
While popcorn looks like regular corn, it is actually an entirely different type of corn. Most people do not realize that. Regular cob corn cannot be popped like popcorn. Popping is this variety's special attribute.
You could almost say that this is corn with talent!
